In this session of the China Democracy Forum, Li Qun Chen shared practical insights into how Chinese democracy activists can pursue freedom through legal procedures in democratic societies like the United States. Through real-life case studies involving asylum, appeals, and civil rights advocacy, he highlighted both the challenges and opportunities that exist within the legal system. Chen emphasized that for Chinese dissidents, understanding and utilizing legal mechanisms is not only a path to personal freedom, but also a concrete form of resistance against authoritarian rule.
