谈谈普世价值
Comment over universal value
After Chinese revolution and reformation, there was undoubtedly a rapid economy growth which was shown through the reduction in poverty and improvement in technological territories. However, as Chinese economy ascend sharply, a series of problems emerge along the way: environment worsening while resources draining out; gap between rich and poor increase; the morality and society value descend--- integrity, righteousness, justice and other qualities vanished in the society; and last, will the development in Chinese economy sustains? The emergence of these problems was led by the rule of the totalitarian government who disregard and took away the universal value.
In traditional Chinese culture, people honored kindness, tolerance, harmony, integrity, democracy, justice, and righteousness, which are indeed the universal value shared by the world. Yet, all of these traditional values and qualities are fading away with the emergence of corrupted aristocrats and interest groups who seize unlimited wealth and power from Chinese people. But the Chinese communist regime deceives its people by using a slogan that characterized this despotic government as “a socialism with Chinese own characteristic”. The totalitarian rule and monopolistic thinking of this authoritarian regime separated China's ordinary people from the fruits of the reform and advance. Lives of citizen didn’t change much and disparity between the rich and the poor, civilians and officials had only become worse.
All development of human society followed inherent patterns, which were men’ desires for freedom, justice, righteousness. Unlike those who embrace and develop according to the patterns, Chinese authoritarian rule vainly attempted to alter the universal values--- the inevitable patterns of society development---through the use of totalitarianism. We had all seen the disastrous consequences of the totalitarian regime. The inability to constraint this tyrannic power led to corruption within the entire country. Without democracy and human rights, China is shown in chaos with civilians’ properties deprived and free speech restrained. This tyrannic rule will inevitably lead to social unrest. Therefore, the so-called “Chinese featured” communist despotism is digging its own grave. The collapse of this authoritarian regimes is imminent. Regaining universal value is the only path to China’s great “renaissance”.
