The children inside the garbage can are not trash, the government is!
In my youth, the images inThe Little Match Seller often emerged in my nightmares. Decades past, the chill and loneliness still shade grievous shadow upon my heart.Yet, within the civil and rapidly developing society of china, the tale had become real. It was real-life “story” of five children--- 5 arising future of china full with innocence and wonder of the world---cowered inside a garbage can,embracing each other for warmth but end up freezing to death. They were reflections of the little match girl, who lighted the match in darkness and dreamed, dreams for warmth and love while falling into unconsciousness. However, I cannot imagine the dream of the children when they shivered silently into the hand of death. Did they had the same dream and hope as the match girl, or were they in another nightmare startling by wilderness and suffocating by the society,the reality? This will remain unknown, but what I do know is the cruelty and careless of the government. Because of their callousness and neglect of human lives, five youths had permanently left the world which they had no chance to see and know. Five sets of gloomy eyes staring into to rusty darkness in the last moment of their lives. This is more than a grievous story that shreds one's heart, but a call of anger, anger for the corrupted government! The five children in the garbage can are not trash, the government is.
The children are the future; the children are the hope. This should be the common sense of everyone. Most of the countries in the world had legislation toward massive children casualties and system for thorough investigations, records, and punishments. They all cherish the lives of children as if children were, and they were indeed, the most precious wealth of a society. While in China, countless children are dying every year because of the carelessness of powerful officials and minor officer within the Chinese government. The officials, with the sole desires of power, wealth, and beauties, pursued over group profits and personal interest. We can’t find any official within the system who truly concerns about the lives of ordinary peoples and committed into his/her duties as “public servants”. All we had seen today are those “sugar daddies”, “house shepherds(those who have dozens of properties and estates)”, and corrupted potentates with idle rich. “Outside of the golden castle and lavish banquets lain the frozen bones of poverty”. Today, all of the so-called “civil servants” are a part of the Dignitary giants who possessed several or even dozens of properties and estates. Which of them aren’t at least a millionaire or even billionaire? Yet, those five children can only curl up in a garbage can for warmth and die without notice in a freezing winter. What kind of society is this? What kind of government is this? This is not a society that can provide freedom, democracy, and dignity for its citizens, and definitely not the government that can bring about happiness. May the death of the five young children tears apart the blindfold of the corrupted government and wake up the citizens from this morally decayed and ethical corrupted society.
My children, there is no pain or cold in the Heaven, God shall bless you all!
