These days in China some Chinese people protest the trade war between the US and China because they believe the fake information from the CCP. They are brainwashed and I am not surprised. In my opinion, one day those Chinese people look back they would thank the trade war They would thank the United States!!!
Before I came to America I lived in Shenzhen City, which borders Hong kong. Hong Kong is a duty-free city. I noticed many people go to Hong Kong for shopping including myself. Why？ Because everything inside mainland China is more expensive than in Hong Kong, such as grocery, personal care, and clothing...etc. And things have better quality in Hong Kong. Because mainland China charges such an unreasonable tax for imported products. Many housewives in Shenzhen commute to Hong Kong to buy even soy sauce and eggs!!!:) They carry a suitcase with them.
Why would they bother? Definitely there is a big difference in the quality and price.
So I am sure the trade war would benefit Chinese people s daily life in the long run!
