In this session of the China Democracy Forum, Dr. Jun Tao Wang provided an in-depth analysis of the Zhang Xiaoning case, highlighting how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) uses infiltration and repression tactics abroad to suppress the Chinese democracy movement. He discussed how the CCP manipulates divisions within the overseas Chinese community, especially among new immigrants grappling with identity and values. The case revealed both the persistent threat posed by the CCP and the internal vulnerabilities of democratic groups abroad. Dr. Wang emphasized the importance of resisting manipulation, standing firm in democratic values, and building a united, resilient democratic front.
