II. Brief History
On June 25th, 1998, activists from Zheyang province, Youcai Wang, Donghai Wang, and Hui Lin proposed to Zhejiang Civil Affairs department to register the Democratic Party of China.
On January 1st, 2010, the Eastern U.S. Committee of the Democratic Party of China was established in Flushing, New York.
(On June 15th, 2011, the Eastern U.S. Committee merged with the Western U.S. Committee as the U.S. Committee of the Democratic Party of China)
On April 3rd and 4th of 2010, the DPC held the 1st National Party Congress.
On December 13th, 2014, the DPC held the 2nd National Party Congress.
III. Mission and Purpose
1. Mission
End the Autocratic Regime
Definition:Autocratic regime refers to the Communist ruling, which controls all power, assigns all government officials, sets up all regulations, blocks information, and persecutes dissidents.
Establish Constitutional Democracy
Definition:Constitution refers to the notion that state and party power should be subject to a supreme law that prevents abuses and protects citizens’ rights; Democracy refers to the notion that citizens have the right to elect representatives to a parliament or similar assembly.
2. Ways to Accomplish Mission
Protests on streets
Members of the DPC participate in protests and gatherings at various landmarks, including the Chinese Consulate, Times Square, the United Nation, and Washington D.C to speak for those who are furious about the rotting and corrupt state of the Chinese government. DPC members at gatherings hold signs and shout slogans to call for government accountability, human rights, freedom of press, speech, and peaceful assembly.
Internet Publicity
The DPC set up website to post political news, comments, and member information. Members of the DPC express their political opinions and forward news on website or other social media to criticize the Communist tyranny and to spread the mission of democracy.

Membership Fees:$10 per person per month
Donations: Encourage members to learn from American citizens to support the mission of DPC
Other Donations:Mainly for rent, travel, and equipment
Volunteer:All DPC members and leaders are volunteers, who not only spend time organizing and participating in protests, but also pay for their own accommodation and travel expenses.

4. Number of DPC Members
More 300 members of the U.S. committee participate protests in public.
Most members in China are secret members. Over 300 members was detained and more than 200 of them got sentenced.
The number of members of other overseas and regional committee is unclear.
